The Senate President has been hit with call someone for his resignation owning to his failure to have the Supreme Court squash his trial at the CCT. My humble opinion is that the SP should discountenance this calls, as voices of discord and bitterness. Many have said he should emulate political office holders abroad who did likewise, in the heat of scandals. These are the names of political office holders who didn't bow to public outcry, for their resignation.

1, Hillary Clinton who was accused of incompetence and high handness during the benghazi scandal, did not resign, but later stepped down due to her battle with cancer at the time. Hillary, Now is contesting for the office of president, amidst calls for her, to step aside, due to allegations of using private emails to send official messages and exchanging information, a crime seen as treason

2, Bill Clinton: During the Monica Lewinsky sex scandal, the then president of the US refused to resign even after he was caught to have misled the country

3, French Justice minister Taubira has recently refused to resign over allegations she was aware of wire taps on Sarkozy
