Members of the National Assembly have suspended the passage of the 2016 budget indefinitely following the discrepancies in figures that has trailed the budget. NASS members had fixed February 25th as the date for the passage of the budget but have shelved it.

This new development was made known‎ at a joint press conference chaired by Sen. Danjuma Goje, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriation and Abdulmumin Jibrin, Chairman House of Representatives Committee on Appropriation in Abuja today February 9th.

“We need sufficient time to pass a comprehensive budget that is implementable and also acceptable,” Jibrin said.

Even "Liar" Mohammed would be embarrassed by the level of inconsistency in the budget. It is simply indefensible and unamendable.

Better. Let the presidency clarify whatever grey areas that exist in the budget.

And while at it, can the NASS avail the general pubic with details of their own budget?? Or are they beyond scrutiny??

In the end, the masses always suffer the bad and inconclusive descisions of these bad leaders.

Right now in Abuja, almost everything is on stand still. Economy has slowed to the least, everyone is waiting for the budget to be passed only to hear this.

When will we ever hear goodnews in this Administration?

Alright, so are we to expect another "anti corruption" fight as and interlude for the charade?

I'm expecting one kind of revelation to keep us busy.

I am not surprised. When we were shouting that those ministers were thieves the lying liers kept saying no they are saints. Now they have brought that angelic budget on us. Funny enough, some peeps are still not brainy enough to condemn this nonsense.

“Last week, we were told that the Senate discovered a sum of N10 billion questionably smuggled into the budget of the Ministry of Education for an allegedly questionable sub-head.

Budget 2016 full of errors, can’t be passed – NASS

Buhari claims to be fighting corruption while corrupt practises continue to prevail under his dispensation.

What did you do concerning the 10bn smuggled mysteriously into Education budget?

You are just bias in your approach against corruption!.
I thought you said “I am for everybody and for nobody”?

Indefinitely? OMG!
Who is in charge of this country for crying out loud.
It was just that during the last presidential election, we were presented with the devil and the deep blue sea. Some voted against the devil, others against the deep blue sea. Don't ask me who won. All I know is that we the electorate didn't have much of a choice.
See what the political parties foisted on us. I hope they are now happy. SMH and crying for my country.
