The environmental/air pollution going on within Communities adjoining Uniport in recent times can no longer be over looked or ignored. The cause of this has been adduced to the activities of land grabbers who willingfully set forest ablaze thereby immensely reducing the quality of air not only withing these areas but far into the city of Port Harcourt. While governments all over the world are spending huge amount of hard earned money on afforestation those blessed with natural vegetation are not only on a large scale deforestation but are using crude means to cause health and environmental challenges.
Citizen living in this area can't breathe freely. There is wild spread cough among the populace. Children our future are largely affected.
In summary I am calling on the above mentioned ministries in the state to swing into action to stop this trend and anomaly. An epidemic is looming if the activities of these people are not checked.
