Your Excellency,
It has become wearisome and worrisome to know the trend of events under your “capable” and “infallible “ administrative watch. Most recent is the theatrical activities associated with your “holy” and “incorruptible” budget of change. These and many other events have kept discerning minds really troubled. However, through “ the multitude of books” , I've come to a much more comforting finding that attempts to explain your “ righteous misrule”
Your Excellency, permit me to quote a passage from the Holy Bible which in itself might be considered a grave offense under this “sacred maladministration”.
And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat (Genesis 3:12 KJV).
This was the response of the first Adam when asked to give account of his stewardship. Its semblance to your responses to issues of gross incompetence under your “infallible” watch brought a comic relief. At the same time got me really worried about the fate of our dear Nigeria under your “sacred” leadership.
Your Excellency, The genealogical connection between you and the first Adam is not as terrifying as the possible consequences of your passionate desire to follow same ideological paths. The path of excuses and apportioning blames has always been the trajectory of failures.
Your Excellency, your “righteous misrule” has become notorious for its unending ridiculous excuses. First, it was that you met an empty treasury as though your main purpose of contesting for the position was to meet a full treasury to spend from. Please who were you expecting to fill the treasury for you? Knowing also, that you have contested for this position for the umpteenth times, Nigerians expected that you were aware of the state of the Nation you promised to change.
Your Excellency, it has been from one excuse or blame to another since then. And Nigerians are beginning to ask when you will start been responsible for the country. We are aware that every Nigerian is corrupt, evil, criminal and incompetent except your “righteousness” and those you so desire to canonize.
Your Excellency, it is Wayne Dyer who said…”all blame is a waste of time. No matter how much fault you find with another, and regardless of how much you blame him, it will never change you”… It is time we stopped wasting time and find workable and sustainable solutions to the problems bedeviling our Nation. Those who voted you on the promise of an elusive change have become weary and almost hopeless.
Your Excellency, you have continued to pass the bulk when it is a common knowledge that everything rise and fall on leadership. Lately, you have passed the blame of the massive corruption embedded “ budget of change” on an invisible and unreal group- budget mafias. While this is amusing, it is also a great concern to discerning Nigerians, who are aware that you were not under any undue pressure to submit the budget.
Your Excellency, it is Lou Holtz who said…” The man who complains about the way the ball bounces is likely the one who dropped it”.. How true! You can not continue to blame others but yourself for the present state of the economy, security, infrastructure, etc .You should start to take responsibility because that is what leadership is about.
Your Excellency, no one ever become successful as long as s/he continues to blame someone or something else for her/his lack of success.
Your Excellency, the corruption in the budget is your fault. Stop acting like Adam, take responsibility. History is replete with great leaders who accepted responsibility and caused the desired transformation in their states. With all these leaders, why become Adam?
Your Humble but exclusive 5%.
