@OP it is only more reasonable to bring it to the notice of the necessary authorities at the bank if it is really bothersome to you. However, given the risks you described in your post, i consider it foolhardy that u still taking a picture there.

That's exploitation at the risk of their customers, they are only after the profit to be made from the ATM transactions.
Nigeria is still 100 years behind.

I had similar experience in December 2015 at First Bank Ajah roundabout area. all the ATM there were not dispensing except for one rickety ATM machine which makes the queue extremely long.

I noticed that people ahead of me were grumbling and wrapping handkerchief round their fingers before operating the machine. Inquisitively, I tried to know what the matter is, only to discover that the machine is passing out some measure of electrical current to the user.

I tried to inform the security guard that was standing there, the guy said; 'Even me, the thing don shock me tire as I dey help people wey no fit use am. I don go complain inside but dey no go anything'

when it was my turn, I used my Biro to cast my pin and the amount.

Banks, all they know is how to make money and avoid every other necessary responsibilities that follows.

According to a Newseveryhour.com reader who sent in the pics...

"I went to transact at one of the ATM Points on the premises of First Bank branch at Mile 12 area of Lagos this night and I saw this broken electric cable hanging across the entrance of the ATM Point. Had to tell my sister to snap me. How can a bank not care about its customers. Is it fair that I get myself electrocuted in the process of collecting my hard earned money? That cable was used to connect the bulb lightening the ATM area, but as you can see, it's just waiting to cut off and maybe fall on an innocent customer. Who knows what could happen if it falls on a person."

Well, you can't blame this person considering the rising spate of electrocution happening lately. Hope the management of this bank take urgent action. See more photos below..

You can't be electricuted with this wire considering only small amount of voltage passes through.......
That aside...
I have been to one Aso savings ATM to withdraw....and the machine buttons shocks you as you press every key......I had to use my hankerchief to press......banks are just polite when you went to deposit...but to withdraw na wahala.....peace bro
