Most of you would always keep a date with 14th February of every year as a valentine's day but most of you do not know that 13th February is also a remarkable day, World Radio Day.

13th February is World Radio Day. A day to celebrate radio as a medium to improve international cooperation between broadcasters and to encourage major networks and community radio alike to promote access to information, freedom of expression and gender equality over the airwaves

You can be listening to your radio as you do your work unlike television which will keep distracting you because you would like to see what is happening on the screen.

Radio penetrates every nooks and crannies of the society. Even those at the remote area have much access to radio simply because it does not need internet or monthly subscription to function. Radio is still the best and the fastest means of dishing an information to the public.
