Watford hope to sign striker Isaac Success – paving the way for Odion Ighalo’s exit.

The Hornets plan to raid Spanish club Granada – who are also controlled by their owner Gino Pozzo – to tie up the Nigerian on a pre-contract agreement to move to Vicarage Road.

Success, 20, has four goals so far this season for a side struggling in La Liga's bottom three. He is seen as Ighalo’s heir apparent, and his arrival would open the door for his countryman to move on to a bigger club in the summer.

Watford are resigned to losing the 26-year-old, himself a former Granada player, and have an agreement in place that will see them listen to offers in the region of £12million.

Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea all fancy Ighalo, who scored 20 goals last season to help Watford win promotion to the Premier League and has 15 in the current campaign.
