If The West Were Run Like Nigeria There Will Be Trillionaires In The World Today by KnowAll(m): 10:06am On Jul 09, 2009 |
There are no trillionaires in the world today because the western world is not run the way Nigerian is been run. If it were a case for the west to be run as Nigeria the likes like Tony Blair, George Bush, Francious Mittarand would have been Trillionaires by now going by Nigerian standard. The likes like Bill Gates will not be billionaires but trillionaires, can you imagine the US government banning any other computer company from operating and only allowing Micro soft products to be sold. That is how our only legitimate billionaire made his money by enjoying full government patronage. Now that the Yardua government wants to liberalise the importation of cement our billionaire is crying wolf. We all read with dismay how Tony Blair was struggling to pay his mortgage for his central London mansion, Yet Nigerian Governors are buying houses for £2 to £3 million pounds and spending another £300,000.00 renovating it alas Gbenga Daniels. Nigerians need to know that because you are a public officer the state coffers does not automatically translate as your personal bank account. Our people need to be enlightened about what public officer’s role is in a democracy. If the west were run like Nigeria, Nigerians will not have Europe or America to run to, because their leaders would have embezzled all the money and made themselves trillion ires. Those lovely and comfortable fast trains that whisk Nigerian tourist and politicians from Heathrow airport for instance will not be there. Nigerian politicians visiting London will have to do with okada because there will be no train to whisk them into the centre of the city in 15 minutes or better still those that can afford it will hitch a battered taxi with smoke bellowing into the horizon. But the west chose to provide for their people first rather themselves how I wish our country can borrow a leaf from the west. Our people needs both educational, political and social orienteering for any progress to be made. This piece is just my observation as to why there are no Trillionaires in the world today. |

There is no point in any of the individuals listed below having billions of dollars in foreign banks while there country’s is in dire need of infrastructure development. What stops IBB from building a fast train from Minna to Abuja using a dummy company as a front, all proceeds goes into his pockets, what is the point in him dyeing at the money getting lost in those dinghy vaults in Switzerland or Liechtenstein. Surely Mobuto’s lesson is there for all to learn from; his billions cannot be found nor traced anymore. Each of these individuals should pick a project and get the country moving, Nigerians are already accustomed to the fact that they are billionaires, it is no news to anybody, fear should be the last thing on their minds they should just get on with it. Lets call a spade a spade Dangote and Otedola are only the 12th and 13th richest Nigeria not to talk of Africa or the whole world. This the list of the real Billionaires in Nigeria. 1. OBJ 2. Yardua 3. Abdusalam 4. IBB 5. Abacha 6. Peter Odili 7. James Ibori 8. Tinubu 9. Andy Uba 10. Bukola Saraki 11. Ogbemedia 12. Dangote 13. Otedola 14. Mike Adenuga |

The way Government is run in Nigeria at present is like everyone in Government is trying hard to grab more than the next man before the roof of the house caves in, it is as if our leaders know or have a premonition that the ship is sinking and every other politician is trying to outbid the other in the grabbing stakes. They should come out and tell us the public what is happening. With the south- south states topping tompolo’s wages every month to the Eastern Governors supporting Massob which only came to light recently over non payment of entitlement by Gov Obi. What’s happening politicians speak to us and lets know what is gwan ? |
