Hi guys,

I just an online job that will make me spend up to 40hrs online every week.

That's a lot of time and I have never spent that length of time online.

The job pays $250 every two weeks.

My fear is that it will require lots of data and constant fueling of generator. I am not sure whether to take it or not.

The inactivity on this thread has nothing to do with sales. Sales increased since this year, actually for me. I have not made anything less than $1k monthly since this year. I may make less this month though (but very very close to $1k) but not because of loss sells but some little ill luck that will push my big orders to be marked as completed on 1st May.

Also, I reduced the rate I accept jobs. I only take the ones I can do comfortably. What I did this year was to increase my gig prices. So I take orders of $340, $400, $200, and lastly $150. So if I complete 5 of this in a month, I am sure of $1k. I have also been very busy in the office too. Combining the two of them plus personal life has kept me off this thread for sometime. However, I reply whenever I'm mentioned.

My recommendation is to go for a high traffic areas. Fiverr these days works best when you strategically get started. Don't go to Fiverr emotionally or by seeing the amount people make. Everyone has separate paths on Fiverr.

According to EFCC, if you’re using a username other than your name on Fiverr - its is a crime.

If you don’t have the certificate to prove your educational background - it is a “BIG” crime.

Screen names are supposed to act as a cover irrespective of your identity.

But it appears those who are supposed to fight against illegalities are now happy to rub it on individuals for their own selfish interest.

I shared the case between EFCC and a fellow freelancer, James Kuve.

Appearently, he’s being accused of falsely representing himself by using a screen name different from his real name, not having the certificate to proof that he’s a graduate of an institution, and using an ID with the owners consent.

James might have his own fault, Yes. But are these reasons enough to seize everything the young man has worked and laboured for?
Let’s not be fooled, we all know who the day to day fraudsters are - I’m sure they do too.

We can all turn a blind eye to this because it doesn’t affect directly, but remember - you could be in the same position tomorrow, trying to explain to some greedy authority with no sense of understanding.

Social media is a very powerful tool, and I’d like us to use this tool for James.

I want us to create awareness for James, tag whosoever can wade in, and make it go round social media.

I’ll make a post on my wall, you can share it or make yours too - but the end goal is to create awareness, so everyone can know what this greedy authority are doing.

The Upwork CEO's mail said the paid connects start from between May-June so still early. Connects reset by May 21st just use up your free connects before then and download the new Upwork app. We'll know by then how serious they are. Hope that helps,ciao...

The only advice I can give is that you should try to improve your English grammar. To this end, you can visit these sites:
1. https://guidetogrammar.org/grammar/index.htm to master the rules of grammar and writing
2. https://www.thepunctuationguide.com to improve the punctuation aspect of your writing and speaking
3. https://www.vocabulary.com to improve your vocabulary and learn new words.

The indubitable fact is, if you're good and write well, you will always get ample orders. Daily.

If you are interested in the freelance writing niche, you need to follow the advice above and read a lot — read reports, news articles, opinion pieces, novels — and choose a niche in writing that is in demand, that you are passionate about.

Follow top writers in your area of specialisation on Quora, LinkedIn and study and imitate their style of writing.
