Let me get this clear: are they charging him to court for sleeping with(not raping) the girl, when the same girl was to be getting the same treatment(sex) from anoda man, under the guise of marriage? Infecting someone with HIV is not an offence in Nigeria, except in Lagos and Enugu. It is not contained in the Penal code.

Is there any minimum age for sexual consent in the north? No, so the village head can claim consensual sex and go scot free. If the parents of the 13 hear old girl were actually planning to marry her off then they actually knew she was ready fo sex cos sex is part of marriage. These northerners refuse to allow Nigeria have minimum age for a girl to get married not knowing that it will affect them more than any other part of the country. They should continue to bear the effecfs of their laws.
