When you massage your scalp it increases blood flow to your head and scalp. This new blood flow stimulates the capillaries in your head, which helps to promote healthy new re-growth.

So how do you massage your scalp?

Begin at the nape of the neck where the largest concentrations of sebaceous glands are located. Massaging vigorously in a circular manner all over your head for 3 to 5 minutes or until you feel the scalp tingling from the flow of blood.

To massage your scalp effectively spread your fingers, and then place your fingertips on your scalp. Avoid using fingernails to prevent damaging your scalp. Move your fingers around the scalp, covering all areas. Use slow, gentle movements to move your fingertips in a circular motion, alternating fingertips around different areas of the scalp.
