Zuby Victor Udemba shared this photo of an armed man in FRSC uniform warning motorists to be careful but didn't say which area. What he wrote below: "Motorists beware. Road Safety does not carry guns according to laws of Nigeria as of today. This is a suspected robber on the road with a road safety uniform" http://www.metronaija.com/2016/02/photo-federal-road-safety-corps-officer.html cc: lalasticlala

Arms to serve what purpose Thier functions was carved out of the police force to enforce compliance with road safety. Why do you need arms to ensure cars are safe to ply the road? The have no business intercepting thieves or smugglers. So no need for arms. 1 Like |

If they give them gun, they better still give yellow fever (traffic warden). |

An armed robber? So armed robbers also drive one of the Innoson FRSC vehicles provided by the GEJ administration? |

I blame Buhari for this. Robbers never wore FRSC uniforms or operated with their official vehicles under GEJ Sai Booharry |

johnmartus: Sometimes I just don't understand how some people think. This is the very reason the media and politicians keep playing on the intelligence of many gullible citizens. I mean it doesn't take anything to think out of the box. The picture is so clear, and that officer can be anything except an armed robber. It is safer to condemn the idea of an FRSC officer posing with a gun without relating it to robbery, (if indeed FRSC officers are not allowed to hold rifles). |
