Depends on your location/s. If ure lucky to be in the 3g coverage area of the two then the choice may be tougher, However glo does not have prepaid but it has better structure in tarrif, e.g for 6000 you can have internet from 9am to 9pm. however, MTN has the cheaper night belt for just 2,500 so if ure looking at using it only leisurely and nightly too them Mtn is ur bet. My experirnce with both is that glo 3g coverage is wider than that of Mtn, If ure on the outskirt of Lagos, U'll only enjoy the gprs, Good luck in ur choice.

for now i don't think there is internet work that is very reliable, and i still belive on one, and is Faslink MTN okay try it.

Please confirm what you are saying. Am not talking of glo internet which is just gprs, that has always being in existence. The glo 3g is still limited to POST PAID except of course if they just introduced the prepaid version.

I can authoritatively tell you that it is not true. 3g glo is only on post paid. Please confirm the authenticity of what you are posting, don't be misled by what you think is on their site. Anyway there is nothing on their site to indicate such. For now glo 3g is only on post paid. You will need all your identifications to get it, I guess that's an edge for mtn.

House I want to know if I can use the MTN device in places where there are no 3G. Cos i want to get it for my wife and she is in Ogun state and the 3G network is not there. Someone advised I shd get multilinks CDMA. Holla me at ugonna@umnigeria if you have any suggestion.

Dnt knw abt multilinks in ogun but mtn wil wok dere if deres normal signal but it may not be as fast as wen deres 3G coverage

Thats a man!!! I always wish that glo is on prepaid. The inconvenience of postpaid is numerous, you got no option and there is no freedom of changing tarrif plans.

You guys using the mtn stuff wont just keep the hell quiet. . Thats the way you will go shouting about it. . Untill it get blocked . U guys better wise up @ lynx and co. .

some ppl swear by MTN, but I hear that Glo is now the Oga patata. I have just paid 21K for cobra with a 5gig limit and even though its fast, i sure can't afford to keep this up. any help will be appreciated, please don't say starcomms, I wish I can get a refund on the 6500 that just went down the drain.

There is no definite asnwer to your question:

1. depends if the location that you mainly use your 3g has good coverage. Get your stick ulocked and try with both Glo and MTN sim cards. 500N each and you will know which one you have better reception.

2. Glo right now is cheaper per GB as they have N7,500 per 6GB and at the moment they have an offer that every 3 renewals of 7,500 you get one free.

However, where i am Glo 3g gives me steardy downloads of around 2.5-2.8mbit with a ping to London of 200ms, but in another location i might be getting max 300-400kbit.

It really depends on your location and you have to try both for yourself to see which one gives you better reception

@ tomcat are u sure of what u r saying?, if ur download speed is 2MB/SEC, then ur monthly 6gb/month will finish in under 1 day!!!!.

no need having superfast internet if the isp will still attach unrealistic download limits 2 it,

on my multilinks 250hrs package, i hv downloaded abt 17gb n 90 hrs still dey remain
