After calling off the protest which started in The Polytechnic Ibadan this morning, the school authority has decided that the School should go on Mid-Semester break.
“Students are hereby requested to proceed on mid-semester break with effect from 1st March, 2016 till Sunday, 13th March, 2016. School resumes on Monday, 14th March, 2016. Students should vacate halls of residence with immediate effect as they will be closed during this period”Though there has been some issues going on due to the fact that the school authority wants student to pay some certain amount for Insurance and ICT fees; also there has been rumours that the S.U.G. President has been arrested by the police for bringing in Bouncers to the school and due to one reason or the other, the bouncers had to beat about 4-6 students leaving one of them injured in the eyes and some of them seriously wounded

Though it was reported that The Polytechnic Ibadan Pure water Company and Bread making Bakery was vandalised

some Student living in one of the school’s hall of residence said maybe that was the main reason for the Mid-semester break.
