NEYMAR is reportedly still in talks with Paris Saint-Germain — despite claims he has agreed a new Barcelona deal.

The Brazilian superstar has long been linked with a big-money move away from the Nou Camp, with the French giants, Manchester United and even La Liga rivals Real Madrid all interested.

But reports in Brazil insisted Barca chiefs had convinced the striker to stay put with a sensational double-your-money £500k-a-week contract last week.

However, according to Spanish journalist Eduardo Inda, the 24-year-old remains in contact with PSG — as he tries to secure a salary in line with that of team-mate Lionel Messi.

Speaking on popular TV sports chat show ‘El Chiringuito de Jugones’, Inda said: “Neymar’s father has been speaking with PSG, even on the same day that it was claimed he had signed an extension with Barcelona.

“I do not know if he is negotiating or not — but he has been talking to a person very close to [PSG owner] Nasser Al-Khelaifi.

“He has asked him for a number very close to what Messi earns.”

Neymar forms part of Barca’s fearsome attacking trio alongside Messi and Luis Suarez.

Messi signed a new deal with the European champions worth a sensational £30m-a-season BEFORE tax earlier this year.

And Neymar he knows he will always be in the shadow of five-time Ballon d’Or winner at the club — meaning he could be tempted to move to be the main man at a major European rival.

It was revealed last year that United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward had held secret talks over bring the ace to Old Trafford.

Red Devils chiefs are willing to meet a whopping £144MILLION release clause to make the former Santos star their new poster boy.

And his wage demands would not be an obstacle as Premier League clubs reap the rewards of a bumper television deal.

Neymar’s father, who is also his agent, gave United hope last month when he admitted: “There is no reason why he should sign a new deal at Barcelona.”
