THE MANY TROUBLES OF ROCHAS OKOROCHA......A LESSON FOR BUHARI.......................opinion

Before venturing into full time politics, Owelle. Rochas Anayo Okorocha had Buhari- like cult of followers and well wishers in Imo state, Igbo land and Nigeria as a whole due to his philanthropic gestures to the masses especially indigent students in Rochas Foundation college that has about 6 branches nation wide and ICT/other skills acquisition centers and numerous scholarships he awards to Students of tertiary institutions both home and abroad.

After 12 solid years of bad governance orchestrated by wicked corrupt leaders, like Achike Udenwa and Ohakim, Imo state was in dare need of change, as a state known for its neatness and sanity pioneered by the founding fathers of the state, the good people of Imo state believed that to leave that aspect of their good national image to go into extinction by the miasma of bad leadership is to miss the glory of their identity, hence, the search for the "MOSES" to take them out of Egypt kicked off.

Lucky, the long expected and alleged "messiah" presented himself in the person of Rochas, his declaration of interest to lead Imo state was graced by all and sundry judging from his "costematics" antecedents with jubilation in all the nooks and crannies of the state. The people forgot about party politics and switched over en mass with him to APGA against the incumbent Governor, Ikedi Ohakim of PDP....in their normal culture of rigging, PDP/Ohakim did all their best to rig the election in 2011 in their favour but the people, both the indigines and some of us who are indigine by residence came out in solidarity to resist the evil attempt with many ready to loose their lives for justice to the done.

This finally attracted the attention of the federal government who ordered a fresh conduct of the election after which our man had victory....the crux of the matter is that the poor masses thought they will find in Rochas a Governor that cares but unfortunately a near complete reverse is the case now. None of his supporters were expecting him to perform like every other working Governor in Nigeria because they saw in Rochas a leader that will deliver 100% dividends of democracy with people like me expecting him to even go as far as using his personal savings to work for the people..lolz, he is doing even the worst.

As it stands now, Rochas is running a Government of family and friends (FAF) that is absolutely clueless as Rochas instead of concentrating on leadership for which he was voted in, has resorted to playing more politics of aligning himself with the centre with little concern about the people he is Governing, what can be more painful than sacking many civil servants who have many dependents and even starving the spared one of their hard earned wages?.........

For most people here who are not aware of the reality on ground, if we are to score Rochas performance over 10, I think he won't score more that 4 and this is the same man his people expected a clean score of even 12/10 from...lolz
You can now understand the disappointment of the good people of Imo state that is leading to near frustration. My advice now is that if Rochas doesn't take care and correct his steps now that is not too late, His family name will go into extinction the way of great Zik of Africa.

This is to correct the impression by many that Rochas is hated because of his party affiliations. APC.....not at all
President Mohammadu Buhari should equally learn from this case of Okorocha so that he will leave a good legacy for Yusuf his only known, son to ride to stardom easily with. He should understand that the poor masses are not expecting 80% delivery from him, anything less than 100% will be though within tolerable limit but still slightly disappointing

God bless Nigeria
