Late minister of state for Labour and Employment, Barrister James Ocholi, SAN, will be buried alongside his wife and son next week, Vanguard reports.
According to the Kogi-born legal practitioner’s family, the burial will take place between Wednesday and Friday next week as revealed by Chris Ngige, Nigeria’s minister of Labour and Employment, when he visited the bereaved family to.

Vanguard gathered from a family source that they have presented the proposal to the government and that Senator Ngige was to convey the information on how the burial will go to the presidency.
The source informed further that they decided to bury the late minister immediately was informed by the fact that he died at a young, adding that his demise came as a rude shock to the family, friends and relations who were still yet to come to terms with the tragedy.
Also, the source disclosed that since the late minister was a practicing and devout Christian, Easter activities would eat into the burial proceedings if delayed in any way.
The source said: “It is only if it is a celebration of life for one that is old that we delay the corpse. The minister did not die at the ripe age so there is no way we could continue to delay the burial. His death is pathetic to us.”
Reports say as at Tuesday morning, many synpathisers were still seen thronging the residence of the late minister at 4, Dagash street, Kado Estate, Abuja with their faces suggesting their worries.
Ocholi, his wife and son had lost their lives on the Kaduna-Abuja expressway on Sunday, March 6 after a fatal car crash and the driver, who initially survived the accident, was confirmed dead on Monday in Abuja.
