GTB Agbara branch is worst of them all.

ECOBANK has a trend of poor customer service right from when it was OCEANIC BANK. STANBIC seem to be a recent development.

GTB maintain moderate customer service where U see senior executives upstairs gesticulate to Tellers to be fast & May come down to assist in reducing queue.

I dare to say 7 out of 10 Nigerian youths bank with GTB so most people commenting here don't have a clue about the poor customer services in other banks. GTB however needs to employ more staff to meet the ever increasing customers running away from the other banks. Nigerians too should take advantage of internet banking .

I'm telling you! Go to their branches in Abeokuta, especially that Sapon or something branch...just be sure to carry mat and rechargeable lamp

Gone through the posts and a few banks keeps recurring : Nigerians are indeed a funny lot. Obviously, many young folks opened account with GTB because of their student friendly balance and their perceived solidity at that time. More customers, same number of staff as other banks and ofcus leading to loss of more man hours. Same is experienced at their ATMs.
Many of us don't read, we aren't informed, hence we buy whatever info is sold to us as long as it appears nice.
The average Nigerian bank is solid, very solid and has sufficient shock absorbers in form of capital base and so can't easily go under no matter how deep a recession may be. But we don't know this, we think the only strong and reliable banks are GT, First, DIAMOND and perhaps UBA, hence constant queues at banking halls.
I have accounts with four banks and whenever I have any business in the banking hall, in & out = 10mins max. Time is money.

Mehn, UBA is the worse bank in terms of customer service. The staff will just be taking their time not minding that you sneaked out of office to make a transaction. I have met some really nasty staff of UBA

* There was a day I went into a branch of UBA in Abuja with less than 10 people in front of me but spent over one hour (with serious vexing) before being attended to;

* I have removed all my money from there, except the N1,000 they said I could not withdraw. They have refused to let the account go dormant after (I did not update my KYC, no BVN, no ATM etc - but still get monthly statements via SMS! Na by force?

Because you have not been to ecobank. Ecobank will give you draft and ludo so that you will be busy while the play ps4. Hahaha

Hmmmm, am seeing some say Gt bank which I totally disagree.. Well from my perspective, Guarantee trust bank has always been customer friendly o!!! No queue, fast service. Its even UBA and Ecobank that should win this award. UBA Rumuokoro branch, Ph city, Nigeria.
