President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Dr Dakuku Peterside as the Director General of Nigerian Maritime administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA).

A statement signed by Yetunde Sonaike, the Director, Public Relations, Ministry of Transportation in Abuja said that the appointment was with immediate effect.

You may recall that Peterside was the Rivers State governorship candidate for the All Progressive Congress (APC) that lost to Gov. Nyesom Wike in the last governorship election.

Why why why why why! What is now the difference between buhari and the rest of the them that have ruled us in the past? Putting Square peg in a round hole has always been our problem in this country why should someone that studied something way different from marine business be the head of maritime police. Nigeria is not where we should in imo standard yet we spend times 3 of what Ghana spends on their maritime and they are in good standing internationally . I thought change means giving the cap to who it fits if mr. peterside is made dg when there are thousands of MASTER MARINERS IN THIS COUNTRY, then where is the change? Is either that this man is a dulard like some people call him or he is just more of the same, am really disgusted.
