BEAUTY AND THE DREAM

All alone I sat on that fine evening
The dusk,a cool breeze was heralding
Then an epitome of beauty by me passed
Like a fresh tomato,her face was rubicund

I paused to behold her gait so gorgeous
And her body frame so beauteous
Gradually,down the lane she disappeared
"Go after her,"my heart ordered

I turned into a dog at that instance
And like I sighted a bone,I covered the distance
I ran in a way I've ne'er done before
For I kept falling in love the more

I approached her about my feelings
And ere long,we were already handling
Something halted our honeymoon abruptly
I left the romantic dreamland untimely.

Basic, i must tell you, This is wonderful
itz more like a story but i don't understand the end.

I particularly love that verse

Good title. Imaginative.

Wow! this is great!
it captures a very complex process as falling in love in simple poetic pictures,  such vivid imagery!

, But it was all a dream!
I hope you didn't wet your undies!

Basic:

@ Oracle,what I actually meant was that I woke up unexpectedly from my sleep while the sweet dream was still going on.You know the whole poem is a dream.
