Our attention has been brought to the purported propaganda going around as regards today's hearing at the tribunal where the Chief of Staff to Kogi State Governor stood on witness box as a witness to the first respondent.

The petitioner's (Faleke) lawyer had asked the CoS on the scores of his principal in Dec.5th suplimentary to which he replied
"Party names and logo is what we have on the ballot"

People who do not understand the logic behind his intelligent response said he failed to answer correctly.

The stand of GYB is that, both Late Audu vote and the suplimentary election result belong to party and it is the choice of the party to determined who replace late Audu.

If only he answered as expected by the petitioner's lawyers, it means his principal cant win with his scores in supplementary election alone.

So his response mean his principal represent APC and both the main and supplimentary election result belongs to the party.

In a nutshell, Faleke's case was dead on arrival.

Anyway lest I forget, the people's Governor just arrived the country from Equatorial Guinea with President Buhari. AYB ti tek ova

So there for the party can change the candidate at any given time ?. Why not change Atiku when he crossed to AC as VP.

The problem is that it is not clear in the laws of Nigeria whether a Party can replace a dead candidate with his deputy or another candidate.

The tribunal has a hard job ahead. Any judgement passed is going to sound wrong somehow.

Impossible, Bello is kogi state governor backed up by the law if you review the act of electoral reform decree under the 1999 constitution.
Not getting his Pvc transfer is the fault of Inec but as long his Pvc detailed has been registered online at ince database, there is no cause for alarm.
No PVC details is online, INEC has got no online database. just some hard drive & so on.

Edward Onoja Displays Rare Brilliancy At
The Kogi Election Petitions Tribunal

As a boxer, I dared being boxed into a
corner by any powerful and more
experienced opponent, for the obvious
reason, it would be the end of the bout,
because somebody would get knocked
down! Simply put, escaping from a ring
corner, in front of an experienced opponent
takes a boxer, intelligence and common
sense.
“For all men being equal before God does not
mean all men have common sense to prevail in
tight corners. Common sense in an uncommon
degree, it is what the world calls wisdom and
not common afteral.
It was a brilliant display of intelligence and
most especially, common sense today at the
Kogi state election petition tribunal sitting at
the Jabi High Court Abuja, when , Hon. Edward
Onoja, Chief of Staff to the Executive Governor,
stood as star witness in the Faleke petition. The
young advocate of change withstood close to an
hour of gruesome, torturous and deliberate
amour-propre attitude of insolence and
superciliousness from the revered counsel of
James Faleke in person of Chief Wale
Olanipekun (Ofr, SAN). Indeed, a parent
wouldn’t have been more proud today of their
son for a superlative presentation. He was
calm, cool and calculated with penance, he took
it all to the admiration of the Faleke’s counsel.
Case adjourned to the 6th of April 2016, let’s
keep our fingers crossed .

As hearing continues at the Kogi Governorship Election Petition Tribunal in Abuja, one issue is crystal clear, even to the blind, is that the current sojourner in Lugard House, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, is a goner.
With godly sincerity, Yahaya Bello has the worst case in the history of governorship petition in Nigeria.
Today, the social media came alive, first, with the pictures of the Chief of Staff, Mr. Edward Onoja dozing uncontrollably during tribunal sitting before he was docked in the witness box. Unfortunate confessions by this star witness left Yahaya Bello supporters gasping for breathe.
Right before our eyes, Edward Onoja admitted, in the witness box, that his oga at the top, Yahaya Bello, is not a registered voter in Kogi state. Edward claimed Yahaya Bello applied to transfer his permanent voters card, PVC, to Kogi state but the application up till now has not been approved. This 11th hour confession is a sharp departure from the bold claims by his associates that he voted in Kogi State during the last elections.
It is worthy to note that the laws guiding our country Nigeria states that:
A person shall be qualified to contest the Presidential, Governorship or National Assembly elections if:
(a) he is ordinarily resident in the constituency in which he intends to contest the election or is an indigene of that constituency;
(b) he is registered as a voter in the Constituency in which he intends to contest the election;
(c) he produces evidence of tax payment as and when due for a period of three consecutive years immediately preceding the year of the election or is exempted therefrom;
And other requirements.
You will recall that you published one of my well-researched article on your platform on 22nd January, 2016 (Incontrovertible Proofs That Yahaya Bello Was Invalidly Nominated for Dec. 5 ‘Supplementary’ Election – Adamu Ojonugwa) . In that piece I argued that Without a running mate, nomination of a Governorship candidate is INVALID. Today, in the witness box, our dear Edward Onoja was shown the form filled by Yahaya Bello, the space required to be filled by the deputy was not filled. That is, Yahaya Bello ran the unfortunate supplementary election without a deputy. Onoja had no choice, he agreed that Yahaya Bello never had a running mate for the controversial December 5 supplementary election.
It will take Judgement crafted outside the laws of the land for Yahaya Bello to survive. Technically, he is out of contention. The highly anticipated tribunal ruling is obviously a race between former Governor Wada and Honourable James Faleke.
The logical conclusion is the declaration of Wada as winner of the badly fought election as the living candidate with the highest number of votes or overrule INEC’s decision that the November 21 was inconclusive and declare Faleke winner. While Yahaya Bello lawyers labour day and night to discover or create a ‘legal lacuna’ that can be capitalised upon to knock out these mighty cases on ‘technical grounds’, it is becoming more and more difficult to achieve that as the counsels to both Wada and Faleke are well experienced in election petitions processes and games.

...sentiments apart,i think YAHAYA BELLO should be to work in kogi state. He looks like one that will perform well.I was in Kogi last month and that was my first time of visiting their especially LOKOJA,to my greatest surprise that place looks like nothing but a primitive bush. That means previous Administrations never did any developmental projects there.

Going by your analysis, Falake is not also quantified. He must have done his voter's registration in Lagos State to enable him to be qualified to run for House of Representatives in Lagos State.

My dear, assuming that your above argument is considered, what of the point that the governor in question participated in the election without a running mate?
Note: I am not siding anybody, rather I am making an argument with you base on the established facts
