[size=13pt]Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Dr. Shehu Adamu, told newsmen in Kaduna that government was disturbed by the situation. He appealed to parents to ensure that children remain in school after taking their free meals, so as not to jeopardise the programme. [size=13pt]I saw this first on facebook not many minutes ago so I decided to post this here because of the fantastic comment someone put up there in response: "Start serving lunch 20 minutes later each day until they stay from 8-3... just add a tiny tea break in the morning" This will so work. For 1 week, shift it by 20 minutes. The next week, shift it by 20 minutes. After 8 weeks, they would have unknowingly stayed for over 2 hours later. They will start getting more used to staying in school. You may even shift it by 20 minutes every 2 days for better effect. Better still, experiment by varying the intervals across schools and see which one leads to the best results.[/size] |

 Education is not by force. And no power of meals can change that!Those kids are wise sha, they just collect their daily share and then go home |
