why should he be immortalised, when he was one of IBB's greatest beneficiaries? He wined and dined on the tables of the millitary boys. He was one of IBB's close civilian friends who probably thought that because of his friendship with IBB, he would automatically become Nigeria's president - thereby providing a safe haven for IBB's former nefarious activities. Unfortunately, with all his wisdom and riches, he was not wise or rich enough to know what the boys in khaki were planning for him

Yes, we can argue that he was a good man, and he donated millions to charities etc etc but hey, his dying for democracy does not automatically make him a saint.

Other than that, a lot of his 'enemies' are still alive and will not sit back when he is being immortalized. What will that say about them? The IBB's, OBJ's and others?

Jakumo:

Late MKO Abiola may have liked BIG women, but the one pictured above would not have come within a mile of the man for such a  horrifying encounter, talk less of pinning the mogul in the deadly Buttocks Hold, as depicted in the above artists impression, courstesy of an unsung Rembrant among us, Mr. Mafioso.

The son of dirt-poor parents, Moshood Abiola's epic rise from that humble start to the top of his graduating class in Glasgow University's accounting school, and beyond that into a stratospheric career trajectory that saw him become at age 30 one of Africa's most successful businessmen, but more importantly, one of her greatest philanthropic forces of nature, has all passed into the realms of contemporary folklore, to be judged, lauded and reviled in turn by internet pundits and newspaper hacks, whenever the anniversary of Abiola's death rolls around.

Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola is a modern African hero, whose formidable intellect and near total recall memory capabilities lay politely hidden behind the man's public persona of the boistrous, wise-cracking raconteur with an eye for the girls and a heart of pure gold for the less fortunate.

The fact that till this very day, we still have approximately 1 landline to 300 Nigerians is already enough immortalization.

Long live MKO. In hell!

I think if Abiola is immortalised the Alhaji shehu yaradua should be immortalised as well. He was cheated to give way for MKO and eventually lost his life for democracy. Abiola indirectly was part of the plan until IBB turned on him.
