Commonsense Revolution

My name is Ehi'zogie Iyeomoan.
I love my country. Nigeria.
At the moment, things are falling. Apart.
The economy is in a mess.
Masses dey vex.
Oil is no more sweet, as in springtime sex.
But Mr Commonsense says
there's hope. Buy Naija grow Naira.
Since I was a child, Mama & Papa buy Naija.
They still buy Naija, like everyone else.
Yet the symptoms of my country's depression persist.
Her stomach's running, running pooooo paaaa.
Running of overfeeding, no, overstealing.
So today I join the others buying my country
to save her currency. But a reverse buying, hopefully
my commonsense is more common.
Today in a tailor's shop somewhere in Kano, I eat
the Naira to grow my country.
