i have the original adapter for 5k and dont be decieved,the fact that its new does not makes it original. your laptop compaq presario m2000 uses the 18.5v 3.5A adapter. MAKE SURE YOU ARE BUYING THE ORIGINAL. you can contact me for more info. @ 08029528306
