Boko Haram: Islam Forbids Extremism - Buhari by Emmatdayo(m): 11:06am On Mar 18, 2016
President Muhammadu Buhari has declared that Islam forbids lawlessness and frowns at extremism even in normal acts of worship.

Speaking in Abuja on Thursday at the opening of the International Islamic Conference on Peace and Nation Building, Buhari said the emergence of any group advocating the contrary is therefore irreligious and unacceptable.

He urged religious leaders to intensify their efforts towards promoting the real teachings of their religion in order to counter the diabolical ideology motivating insurgents.

Restating that Nigeria, in joint cooperation with her neighbours, had substantially degraded the attacking capability of the insurgentsnto a level that had compelled them to retreat, he said his gobernment would pursue them relentlessly until they become "an item of history."

Buhari said: "The tragic paradox of the global insurgency situation is that most of the atrocities committed by various insurgents all over the world today, are being carried out mainly by people who pretend to be Muslims, yet most of the victims and casualties are equally Muslims. To underscore their cruelty and godlessness, they particularly target the most vulnerable members of the society: children, women and the elderly.

"No religion approves of such heinous crimes against humanity; definitely not Islam nor Christianity, the two to which most Nigerians belong. This is a tragedy which all normal people must rise up against. Islam does not permit lawlessness. It frowns at extremism even in normal acts of worship. The emergence of any group advocating the contrary is therefore irreligious and unacceptable".

The president also called on all religious, community and political leaders to mobilize their followers against corruption and crimes of any kind.

He said they should also encourage their followers to be more tolerant of one another and recognize the rights of others as they want others to recognize their rights to worship and live freely.

Noting that Nigeria had suffered many years of official neglect and corruption "leading to untold hardships to the common man", Buhari assured that the government would do everything possible to safeguard lives and property as well as ensure even development across the nation.

He said the current global economic challenges might well turn out to be a blessing for Nigeria "because it will stimulate the latent economic opportunities that we have left untapped for decades."

Going back to the topic,

"The tragic paradox of the global insurgency situation is that most of the atrocities committed by various insurgents all over the world today, are being carried out mainly by people who pretend to be Muslims, yet most of the victims and casualties are equally Muslims.

They ain't pretending, they are muslims but being brainwashed.

Buhari seems to have arrogated to himself the role of chief interpreter and image-maker for islam.
He is more preoccupied with putting islam in a good light than he does for Nigeria.

And you dont want some Nigerians to think that he is an islamic fundamentalist?

Islam is rooted in hypocrisy and contradiction.
It is what it is: a violent, murderous ideology.

Do you support Sharia? Yes or No?

Stop all this overly complicated b.s.

Do you support Sharia?

Are you willing to rid Nigeria of Sharia that has been given birth to in the North?

Even on aljazera, they asked him:

Do you still support Sharia? The man started going on about how boko is not Muslim. How is that related

Simple question, DO YOU STILL SUPPORT SHARIA?

PMB has spoken well, bokoharam the military wing of the wailing zombies cannot and will never be considered anything close to Islam. Islam encourages forgiveness and kindness bokoharam encourage wickedness and wailing.

When fighting war you are not allowed to cut down trees talk more of non combatants yet wailing haram primarily targets non combatants and destruction of life.

The first sign of a bh terrorist is they are incapable of understanding a complex world and its various complexities. They intend to reduce life to us vs them, i.e. binaries , do not behave like bh.

This is how far you can go: vituperations and anger with no real target but yourself and members of your immediate family to vent on. It further lays credence to the fact that your islamic roots and upbringing is bedevilled with unrefined, subhuman, violent and atavistic disposition that pays with a worthless coin.

You're too poorly evolved to kno what it means to be meaningful

I ve noticed ur high penchant for vitriol and incendiary rhetoric against muslims and Islam! U ve refused to accept the fact that God has not deemed fit for mankind to observe only one religion hence, we continue to see tins differently in life! U re in haste to cast aspersions on Islam for d criminality of some persons claiming to muslims but whose population is still lessthan 0.0009% of d total population of muslims in d world. Ur prejudice against Islam still, hasn't allowd u see and hear that majority of other muslims openly denounce the criminality of d others! BH has consistently attacked muslim places of worship but ur dark hate for Isslam wud not let u listen to reason!I grew up in Edo/Delta state and I ve seen 1st hand how so many christian so called men of God use d name God to perpetrate evil/fraud. The Lords Resistance Army and its treachery is sstill very much there for us to see!The Christian support for hitlar's holocaust that saw 6million jews smoked of in gas chambers is still very well documented in history books! The Christian crusade in whicch hundreds millions of muslims and jews were killed is well documented! The christian church plundered Africa for nearly 3centuries! Millions of innocent Afriacns were tiled in chains under inhuman conditions and sold as slaves! African human and material resource where plundered! Pple were forced to convert to christianity! I can keep goin on and on! The quesstion is 'wass christianity the cause of these monstrous babarity'? What u hate is not the actions of d criminals but ur target is Islam! It wud howevr interest u to knw that differences in perception of pple, which is y 2 ppl must never be expected to see tins alike resultin in multiple religion, pple's support for diff clubs, colours, taste and soo many other diff, is well documented in Islam! It is not compulsory upon u to accept Islam! Nobdy has put a gun on ur head to accept Islam! Why can't u face ur religion and let others be and stop exposing ursef as a bigot!
