"Where" refers to a question about a location of something, such as: "Where is our table?" "Where is our vice president?" "Where is your sense?"

"Were" is the plural form of "was." For example:"I WAS at the concert last night. We WERE there all together with my friends."

Good thing you pointed this out, and tactfully at that. Some would've been feeling like "grand champs" in the use of English now. This is a case where the saying that "silence is golden" comes in handy. I wonder what some of our "grand champs" would have done if Adenuga or Dangote offfered them a cheque of a lump sum containing misspelled words?
