I believe you must have seen this "RSVP" on different occasions. You probably have seen it too countless times on Several invitations, mostly wedding events

Well the meaning isnt as complex as it seems.

RSVP is an initialism derived from the French phrase Répondez s'il vous plaît, meaning "Please respond" to require confirmation of an invitation.

The initialism "RSVP" is no longer used much in France, where it is considered formal and a bit old-fashioned. In French, the complete sentence "Répondez s'il vous plaît" gives the impression the speaker is begging for an answer.

If RSVP is written on an invitation, it means the host has requested that the guest respond to say if they plan to attend the party.

the only article that said US doubts lekkimassacre is a Nigerian media that has no affiliation with the USA state government. Even this suppose article never said what the title of this post claimed
