I started this thread and my reasons for doing so are all there.

I hope you can identify Nigerian wires from others? An eletrician once gave me a quote with Nigerian wires and later tried to use China wires for me. I caught him red handed before he buried the wires inside the conduit pipes.
Am concerned about price,because a 16mm should not be as costly as 35k, 25k will buy it in Enugu.

@ spyder, prices are tupsy turvy because of the reasons I narrated on the thread mentioned above. Your selfless thread are amongst what motivated mine as well.

anyways, I told him we are going to buy the wires together

Futhermore, He told me there are some boys who do work with the
government in building hotels and all sorts. That they do sell wires(taken from the government)
So I have him 2,500 to go and meet them in Abeokuta. He went there and came back with their
pricess. The price was very ridiculous considering the fact the wires were stolen.

The price he gave me for example, The first
1mm 2 core Nigeria Cable ----------10 coil @ 3200 = 32,000
his own price now was N29,000

ANd so like that. Some where even same prices.
At the end of the day I found out that I will just
be saving around 10 to 12 thousand
I gave him my last warning and told him
I was going to buy the wires mysef.

And concerning this sloppy ground stuff

I will advice people not to buy a sloppy land
it can be very expensive to construct on, I tell you
you say there are ways you can give your land a semi flat looks without filling?
What about erosion I wouldn't advice anyone to buy a land that is not flat.

@ am alone, please do ignore the electrician. PHCN do not produce wires and (suprise! suprise!!) when they hand out contracts for electrifications, most Nigerian manufacturers dont get to win bids, but private dealers and they import to supply PHCN. Then in Governmental projects, you just need to see the structural engineers and the electrical engineers and you can use any thing you want in so far it brings power to the structure.

So buying so called government wires doesnt guarantee you bought whats best for the amount you are spending. Beware. and will soon post your prices!

Sorry folks for the delay. A lot of factor has made not to post as intended.

One of them is our sloppy network. All my private internet systems are down or outright slow, many a times I had completed my post, then once I click, i get disconnected! I had to start all over again and its out right frustrating!

Right now and all thru sunday I was battling in out at various internet cafes around my area and they have not been spectacular as well!

Then lastly and most importantly, fellow dealers and electricians have been bombarding my email box, asking me what I am up to and tend to achieve with this thread! Even someone wrote to say he is from SON!

But I will do what I have to do, and Lawyer, please, I am not breaking any rules or am I?

BUT NOTE ONE THING EVERY ONE, THERE ARE DIFFERENT TYPES OF ALL ELECTRICAL PRODUCTS IN THE GENERAL MARKET. DEALERS ARE MOST LIKELY TO GIVE GUARANTEES ON THE ITEMS THEY SELL RATHER THAN THE PERSONNEL FIXING THEM!

This is much better, but one more thing. Ask the electrician to give the length of the wires. It is usually stated in metres or yards, so you will get an accurate pricing. Thanks.

Titles on the land, measurement of a plot, location and finally, prices, before you start receiving calls.

Good day sir. As the mod for the property section, dont you think its high the thread have some sub sections? I mean to say that for eg, rents gets a thread, leases gets a thread, offer for sales of empty plots/buildings gets a thread, building services gets a thread etc.

In the name of copper (cu) ie, the main component used in producing pvc wire and cables for electrical works and wiring, there are 6 different versions of it!

yes! six different versions of it!

That is the main reason why there are different variations in prices of the all-called originals/ made-in-nigeria/china electrical wires and cables.
