Thanks ma'm for your patronage. U may follow some
of my postings where I tried to elucidate on how
most of these Power Bank works.
If U are also importing from a wholesaler, note that,
most of the written capacities U see are not all that
they seem. Virtually many power banks' wholesalers
won't tell U some truths about their products.
So for those buying 50,000mAh, 30,000mAh etc,
don't be all glad U're buying what was crested on
your P.B. Only a few stamped high capacity are
worth buying.
There is also a limit to the capacity a wholesaler /
supplier can sell.Deal with Manufacturers if U can
negotiate MOQ with them.

OKWUPAY: Please a great degree of caution should be taken while importing powerbanks. Personal experience drawn from my months of dealing on the item shows that there are more fake powerbanks in china markets than the number of sachet water in Nigeria (read some of the sincere review on AE, Amazon and Ebay). The most scary part was that a couple of manufacturers/suppliers in china once asked me whether I sell real or fake capacity because the fake capacity banks are cheaper and that is what most AE sellers patronize. What you ask for determines what you have and the amount you pay to procure it. That should not scare you anyway because the presence of imitation shows that an original exist somewhere. I laugh most times when I see people selling what they assume to be a high capacity (over 12000mah and sometimes 20000mah) for N5000 - N6000. An original Yoobao product of 12000mah is about $35 factory price (you can ask for a PI from the genuine factory/supplier and not legions of copy producers/sellers claiming Yoobao and other original products from AE and the likes ). There are also cheaper and quality brand out there also that you go for.

Please let us go for only original items from reliable suppliers and manufacturer. Once your products are okay, you can determine your price with a considerable mark-up. My friend bought an original 5600mah power for N10000 over eight months ago and it is still serving him till date. We started selling a little above 7000mah for N10000 during our early stage but had to reduce the price a little when we started bulk shipment due to the lower price associated with MOQ.
The following should be noted while buying a power bank from China.

(1) Order a sample copy and personally use it to know the real capacity before you venturing into selling. If possible open the pack and see the battery capacity inside (dat na if you get liver Lol)

(2) Please avoid those that claim to have above 20000mah as most of them are not real. In addition, assuming they are real, it will take you at least 24 hours to fully charge it.

(3) Do not be in a hurry to buy from any chinese online shop like AE and the likes. Always engage the seller in a serious chat to know the truth about the products. If possible, ask for his customers details and verify the products claim.

The only thing that can make it a better one is the price and quality. We gonna pay cvm a huge sum for shipping that will take 14 days if not more where free shipping and low cost via,HK or CPA are taking less than 3 weeks nowadays. What do you think boss?

koonbey: I think he's asking for real world performance,not theoretical,we all know that the powerbanks don't have their full rated capacities.

How will I know its made with Lithium-ion Polymer(Li-ion polymer) even by asking the seller. Can I get any link of that capacity from you?. Mean from the ones you've gotten before.

9free: My brother na so e be oooohhhh. I don research this power bank well well. From all I have been able to gather:
1. for Power bank btw 2,500 - 7,000mAH they maximum real capacities are around(80 - 85)percent of rated capacities.
2. For those with 8,500 - 12,500mAH, their maximum real capacities are around (70-75)percent of rated capacities.
3. For those within 13,000 - 15,000mAH, their maximum real capacities are around (55 - 65)percent of rated capacities.
4. From 20,000mAH to 50,000mAH, their maximum real capacities are 50percent or even less rated capacities.
The trend here is this; the higher the rated capacity, the more inefficient it becomes.
NB: Ask questions and Read well before you buy. Dat's all.

chat with a responsive seller on AE today. Asked about the power banks weight, he said its 4.5-5Kg, I sent a message again to ask about the real weight, he later told me its 4KG. I asked about the real capacity of his 20,000mAh power bank, he said its 9,000mAh that will be available for usage. I shouted Jesus. Is that how it is my people?.
