FashionRe: Are You A Makeup Artist? Drop A Professional Line! by 2lip: 12:39am On Apr 19, 2009
No briefs please just my opinion.

first of all let me start by saying there are really no rules to make up, besides the obvious dont curl your lashes in a moving vehicle, or dont put lipstick in your eye,' ,  (but those arent really rules they are more common sense). tongue
Experts seem to be popping up everywhere with strict dictates and pilosophies that frigten people into tinking that there is only one way to wear(and do) make up that is acceptable and normal, so many rules are handed down by these self appointed cosmetic police. huh
in a world of constant change and ethniticities blending together, i feel we should broaden our definition of what we consider "acceptable","normal" and "beautiful",the future will belong to those with open minds and heart who can appreciate beauty in all its forms. kiss

well using the right set of brushes, with good quality, makes the difference, trustme.  wink
ill advice you invest in good qualty brushes that are durable.  personally , i use marykay set of brushes and elizabeth ardens, it doesnt crump the powders in, and gives a  smooth finishing to your work.  cool
cant really say much about the locally made brushes but i will suggest you ask from a previous user , to determine its durability.

mon cherie,
i feel the sky is too large for two birds to collide, and think we should talk less about each other in derogatory ways, it doesnt build but destroy,  whoever you maybe if you are good at what you do, keep doing it, youll get to the top, those that are already at the top shouldnt make climbing to the top impossible for others, either by words or actions. we all have our good and bad sides.

Creativity is a gift.rather than painting others grey.and getting nowhere, spend ur time polishing your gift/ creativity, and you will shine like a star.
ive been in the industry for 3 years and i seriously enjoy what i do, and  passionate about it, i eat , sleep , and dream make-up. cos it is my first love. been priviledged to work with some of the best hands in the industry (modela, blooms-uk,and MBF) .
and have learnt that a make up artist constantly polishes her skills with the latest trends in the industry, and should be professional about his/her jobs.
professionalism is service delivery, what you have to offfer, not what you have to say.  kudos to all hard working make up artist. wink
FashionRe: Top Nigerian Makeup Artists by 2lip: 11:56pm On Mar 16, 2009
be careful what u wish for cos u just might not get it all. many people are carried away by polished pictures and exotic looks without bothering to check out details, please make sure you look before you pick a makeup artist.
