Has The Manchester Derby Lost Its Taste This Year? by esosa4real(m): 3:23pm On Mar 20, 2016
About three years ago or so this Manchester derby could have been a possible title decider for either of the clubs involved or, at least, a consolidation of the title charge by one of both clubs.

But what could have been such tremendous contest by two of England‘s export has been reduced to almost a mere battle for automatic Champions League qualification with Man City and Man United sitting 15 and 19 points respectively behind surprise league leaders Leicester City in 4th and 6th.

Now the big question begging for an answer is, has the Premier League big guns lost their swagger or maybe the less glamourous clubs have just decided to turn up the heat on the so-called ‘Big guns’ and the big clubs were too slow to see it and possibly react quickly enough Whatever answer there is to this question, I dare to say that this is simply the beauty of the English game and the reason it is still arguably the best league in the world.

So as every fan of the beautiful game sits back to watch the Manchester Derby by 4 pm today, it may not be with the same form of excitement and expectation had it been a possible title decider.

Regardless, it certainly has its kind of excitement, maybe just bragging rights and pride for both clubs and how exciting it may even turn out to be if Man United could hope still the win at the Etihad, to further frustrate their “NOISY NEIGHBOURS”

This is due to the recent nosedive on ManUtd.... Actually, this derby is not a brow raiser before 2011 as the Red devils always pull the strings.

So, its living up to expectations actually as a mediocre rivalry.
