Akwa Ibom State Road and Other Infrastructure Maintenance Agency(AKRIOMA), plot 37c Ewet Housing Estate, Uyo Akwa Ibom State.
The law covering the agency with which was passed by the state house of assembly enacts that the director general of the agency should be either an architect, engineer or a quantity surveyor and not a position given to a medical doctor in the case of Dr. Dean Udom.
1. He is inexperience and can not pilot the affairs of the agency because it is not his area of specialization.
2. He's hiring the agency equipments and diverting the funds directly to his pocket instead of generating revenue to government treasury or maintaining government Roads as the law enacts.
3. He's contracting the mounting of asphalt plants to a contractor without using the engineers in the agency to do the job or supervision after contracting in other for him to carry out his fraudulent act.
4.The engineers in the agency are rendered useless as he's not using them.
The State Government should come in and salvage this situation as it is stalling the growth and efficacy of the agency.
Solution is, either the state government should send to the agency a qualified personal as Director General to be able to pilot the agency's affairs or send all the engineers to Ministry of Works because the engineers in the agency are inactive or the state government should deploy medical doctors to work with the agency as one of their colleague is heading the agency.
