Wondering if fans ever fought over Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi’s sweat soaked jerseys after a match? Probably not.Well, Nigeria International, Micheal Babatunde is perhaps the first football player in this part of the world to set that precedent and it happened in Morocco.


Babatunde, a world cup star with the Super Eagles in 2014, disclosed how 3 fans died, 3 were in the state of coma while 50 were hospitalized for varying degrees of injury.


The bewildered midfielder was emotional at the news of the fans reaction and expressed a sad not for the lives lost.


The scnerio played out in Raja Casablanca’s 2-1 win over CR al hoceima, in the Botola Pro League.

It was a sad one ... I heard his comment after incident , he felt so bad and he regretted his action for throwing his jersey to the fan , he did'to expect that such will happen .
