I previously analysed all call tariffs by major telecoms in Nigeria (MTN, Glo, Airtel and Etisalat) here, today I bring you an update based on recent tariff plans by this companies to help you make a better choice. A lot has changed since the last post was made, see update on latest and cheapest call plans across all networks in Nigeria below: MTN MTN SmoothTalk Plus is still the cheapest prepaid tariff plan on MTN Network. This plan offers you flat rate of 15 kobo/second for calls ACROSS ALL local Networks after the first minute of the day at 40 kobo per second. Also customers get Free 10MB weekly on N100 recharge, FREE Happy Hour calls to MTN numbers from 00.30am to 04:30 every day (including weekends) as long as you have minimum balance of ₦100 in your account at 00:30. SMS rate is N4. Simply dial *401# or send 401 to 131 and migrate to MTN SmoothTalk plus. MTN TruTalk is another plan for MTN suscribers that allows you to call registered friends and family for 11 kobo/second (you can register both MTN and non MTN numbers). However, calls outside the 11 numbers is charged at 20 kobo/sec for MTN2MTN calls and 26k/sec for calls to other networks. To Migrate to MTN TruTalk, dial *400# or send 400 to 131. To register a number – *560*1*MSISDN# To delete a number – *560*2*MSISDN# AIRTEL Airtel smartTALK is the cheapest tariff plan on Airtel Network with call rate of 11k/sec to all networks in Nigeria for a daily access fee of ₦5 charged on your first call of the day. Make international calls at 20k per second to the USA, Canada, China, India and UK Landline. Simply dial *315# or send YES to 315 to subscribe GLO Glo 11k/s prepaid tariff plan offers best and competitive flat rate tariff to all networks with unlimited and unparalleled value most especially for our upwardly mobile customers. It is an exciting proposition offering the best calling rates of 11k/s to Anyone, anywhere and any network in Nigeria. MTN are scarmers. i do not recharge my mtn line anylonger. i just use it to recieve calls. 1 Like |

Nice write up OP. Am currently enjoying the AIRTEL smartTALK, I no longer recharge my MTN line. Will soon switch to Glo very soon. Guys suppose support our home base network now. |
