At least, 28 States of the federation have received different sums from a total of N373.56 billion as part of the bailout package from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Salary Bailout Intervention Facility. The benefit from the facility spanned between August 2015 and January 2016. The disclosure was fallout of a paper presented by the Minister of Budget and National Planning, Udoma Udo Udoma at the just concluded two-day retreat of the National Economic Council, NEC held at the presidential villa, Abuja. Vanguard investigations revealed that some of the states included Kwara, Zamfara, Osun, Niger, Bauchi, Gombe, Abia, Adamawa, Ondo, and Kebbi.

Others were Ekiti, Imo, Ebonyi, Ogun, Plateau, Nassarawa, Sokoto, Edo and Oyo States. The paper titled ‘Strategic Implementation Plan for the 2016 Budget of Change’ also disclosed that government has restructured the bank loans of 23 states totaling N575.52 billion into 20 years Federal government of Nigeria, FGN, bonds.

Udoma added that the external reserves had also been reduced from $37.5 billion in June 2014 to $27.8 billion as at mid-March, 2016, stating that the Gross Domestic Product, GDP, was less than 5 percent compared to 17 percent in other emerging markets. He stated that the 2016 Budget which has more emphasis on social infrastructural development would rebound the economy. “Most of the policies, programmes and projects will need the support of state governments for effective implementation”, he said

So,why is fayose ranting and almost Lynch PMB with his hate speeches when he benefited from the bailout himself?
How will you persist in ridiculing the person that want the best for the people in your state? Who does that please?

Gombe is not APC , even adding ekiti and ondo does not change the statistics much, APC states are broke , bankrupted and financially distressed due to insolvency. what change can APC bring to the centre

Osun state is insolvent, Oyo state is the heaven of ritualistic, Ogun state is living on grace of the compact and small size of Lagos even though it has room for great development and growth, Lagos it self is living in past Glory , if a state like Anambra has 10% of what the Federal Government invested in Lagos , Anambra would be like Dubai , Despite hosting all the bank Headquarters , all the oil and gas headquarters, all the telecommunication headquarters, all the deep sea ports in Nigeria , half of the federal parastatals and Government departments Lagos is still shamelessly depending on oil allocations from Niger Delta and can barely generate up to $1B per annum . if this is not a sign of low level development and insolvency then what really can we make of it, Lagos state did not witness any civil war, genocide, marginalization ,oppression, oil spillage , militancy, insurgency, deprivation etc yet lagos is shamelessly depending on Niger delta oil money to survive.

The problem of these country ve always been the GOVERNORS.. Imagine a state where there is no local govt chairman, only appointees.

And some states need to be merged.
If we help our looters to destroy and turn this country to hell, they will leave us and be second class citizens in developed countries.

*going to the market to buy my Easter chicken*

I can only see dat u are one of d problems in dis country, ethnic bigot. Ethnic n religious bigotry are the major factors driving us backward in dis country. Anambra is doing fine, yes, lagos is not doing bad, yes. W nid to move away from all these sayings dat Lagos depends on Niger Delta oil as if Niger delta is not part of Nigeria. Wat does Anambra depends upon my brother? Anambra n Lagos are part of Nigeria,am also aware dat Niger Delta has not seceded away from Nigeria.
