Asia is quiet cheap

Relatively cheaper but "quite cheap" is not entirely true for most Nigerians, especially the targets of the original post.
It also depends on what Asian country.
Majority of interested Nigerians can't afford US$10k and above (cost of living inclusive) for some of the cheapest schools in Asia.
I'm talking of master's programmes and not bachelor programmes that take longer to finish, translating to larger amounts.

Why not first determine the country you want to go do your PhD and then work towards surpassing their requirements.

Thank you.

What other requirements could there possibly be? I have a BSc and an MSc degree in the field. Moreover, the "determine the country you want to go do your PhD" is what my enquiry here is meant for, even as it is more of an open statement for those whose pockets have given options.

In as much as I understand your point, I believe the best way will be to get information from people who already have the experience or know someone who has. And this is why I'm here.

Again, Thank you for your interest.

"every other thing dey cheap"

Bros, I disagree with you strongly on d above statement. It depends on d state you are schooling at. Cost of living in some states is quite high e.gCalifornia, Florida, New york etc unless you live in some states like Texas, Kansas etc that is quite affordable.
Don't forget that school fees for intl student is also there, which is so expensive. I don't know what country the OP is referring to, but from my understanding and experience, only the kids of the wealthy in Naija come to the US to study without full scholarship.

What's the difference between community college and universities ??

Country varies and so does the opportunities. It is best to focus on a few countries than leaving it open.

What's the difference between community college and universities ??
Community college is a 2 yr program while a university is usually a 4 to 5yrs program(although some smart folks can do it for just 3yrs)
Community college can also be another route to go to a 4yr college if u choose not to take SAT or ACT.
Community college is by far more affordable compared to a university..

That guy profile says he lives in Houston and he doesn't know the difference between Community College and a University . Something is fishy with him or maybe he never went to school in US.

I am not hiding my identity like you shameless brain stem. I am well known in Chicago land area and I have siblings here one of them is a Medical Doctor cum Pastor and the other two are CPA and Emergency room Nurse at Stroger Hospital in Chicago. I come from family of overachievers unlike your village sewage rats you descended from. By the way, I have been working as an investment officer for over 25 years in one of the biggest investment firms in Chicago. What do you do for a living socialist Putin as.s licker. One of this days if you truly live in N/J, you will be kicked out of the country or something tragic will happen to you with your guttural mouth.
