I just couldn't believe I got sentimental for no reason. I found myself singing a primary school hymnal from a dreamgrin I had search for the lyrics of "God whose name is love" on Google. I read the lyrics keenly and felt emotional as the song resonated with me. It made more sense now, remembering Primary school days where we used the ever blue S.O.P (Songs of Praise) and sang those amazing songs without knowing what they meant.

God whose Name is Love,
happy children we;
listen to the hymn
that we sing to thee.

Help us to be good,
always kind and true,
in the games we play
or the work we do.

Bless us every one
singing here to thee.
God whose Name is Love,
loving may we be!

*All things bright and beautiful
*O Happy Day
*Forth in thy Name
*Now the day is over

Please share those songs/hymnals, there's nothing bad in reminiscing. How I miss those days!

Hahahahaha! Very funny!

My biology teacher(single at the time) would make us sing "How sweet thy name of Jesus sounds" almost everyday, she made me love that song like kilode. And, she would want us to slow down (of course, kids will always rush songs) at stanza 3

I love that hymn so much, maybe because she made us sing with all our hearts. Till date, that hymn is the best for me especially stanza 3 even during choir rehearsals, i would always suggest we sing that hymn and one day someone asked me " what is it with you and this song sef?"

1. How sweet the name of Jesus sounds
in a believer's ear!
It soothes our sorrows, heals our wounds,
and drives away our fear.
2. It makes the wounded spirit whole
and calms the troubled breast;
'tis manna to the hungry soul,
and to the weary, rest.
3. O Jesus, shepherd, guardian, friend,
my Prophet, Priest, and King,
my Lord, my Life, my Way, my End,
accept the praise I bring.
4. How weak the effort of my heart,
how cold my warmest thought;
but when I see you as you are,
I'll praise you as I ought.
5. Till then I would your love proclaim
with every fleeting breath;
and may the music of your name
refresh my soul in death.
