If he wants to really talk to the 'herdsmen' about proffering solutions to the incessant killings and conflict, he should talk with the herd's owner not the herdsmen' alone. They were sent out with nothing but weapons to defend themselves... How will they create grass? Well the Agatu people has been created by God to provide food for the Fulani cattles...or so it seems. HOWEVER....beyond that...why not get the Senate to pass laws which would

1.Reactivate the Sahara green belt project.

2.Severe punishments for people involved in invading farms, and stealing cattle.

3.Ending nomadic life. Sorry...but the wandering days are over.

4.Ensuring better land planning

5.Securing the borders so that guns don't just get in anyhow.

6.Seeing that the Police does their job when it is just one farmer dead, or one fulani dead...not when it passes 100.

7 Disarming the armed fulani.

8. Promoting better education, and better rule of law for all.

9.Ending tribalism.

Since successive Governments have failed to provide us with security, the Government should admit its own failures and pass a Gun Law that allows every Nigerian of adult age and sound mind the rights to bare arms.

Afterall, we have done the same with everything else in this country..
