Easter is a season to celebrate the death, resurrection and ascension of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ all over the world among the Christian faithfuls and as such, many people tend to re-enact the scene leading to the crucification of Jesus Christ on the Cross.

In far away Guatemala, a country located in between Mexico and Belize, which is considered part of the continent of North America, also saw Christian faithfuls taking part in this yearly celebration to mark the activities associated with this season in the Christian calendar.

In a twist of event, a man who was playing the role of crucified Jesus Christ, suddenly fell from the cross to the shock, amazement and horror to all those around. While it was a terrifying moment for some who came to watch and get entertained while trying to reflect on the pain Jesus Christ must have experienced, others took the opportunity to record and upload it on the Youtube social media platform, while calling the man ” The Batman Christ”.

The man plunged around 10 metres from the top of the wooden structure after it was tilted to one side by those carrying it. Almost immediately, the actor teeters on the cross before falling through mid air. He attempts to grab hold of one of the ropes as he falls, but it was unsuccessful.

In a clip, the crowd were heard screaming in horror as they watch the man tumble to the floor. Several onlookers rushed over to his location to help after he fell on the ground.

It is believed that the incident took place during the Passion of the Christ celebrations in Guatemala over the weekend.

He was quickly attended to and didn’t sustain life threatening injuries.
