I find it difficult to control my temper when I heard the word "Peroleum and Gas Pipeline Vandals ", Why would they have the space to damage our pipelines knowingfully well the catastrophic consequences this will bring to the nation. Those soldiers in our barracks getting paid every months with our tax payers monies ...could possibly be station in every of these pipeline locations and shoot at sight anything whatsoever that could resemble a vandal. Even if it's a mosquito.

Funny enough, while this govt is trying hard to achieve something close to this, it is still some useless nigerians who go ahead to vandalize gas pipelines.

Nigerians are used to suffering and developing thick skin against whatever hardship that come their way. That's our greatest undoing. All the anomalies in this country will not stop irrespective of the government in power until the youth take the bull by the horn and eliminate all these old generation politicians who have over the years, raped the Nigerian state and her people. Nigerian politicians are wicked and heartless. As far as their pockets are filled to the brim daily, they don't care what happens to the masses.

That's one of the reasons we should embrace nuclear energy. Which tout will boldly try to vandalize a nuclear facility (unless he's a suicide bomber)?
Nuclear energy is cheaper in the long run. It's safer for the environment. Even after occasional disasters, it cleans itself up, unlike what greenhouse emissions turn the planet into.

When GEJ was complaining about pipeline vandalism, you people used it against him, now you are complaining.
APC had solutions to all Nigeria's problem during campaign. Now they seem to be confused.

Did the government not know about pipeline vandalisation when it chose to go after Tompolo for corruption? Do you think Yaradua, a Northerner was stupid when he implemented the amnesty program? It was to stop them vandalising pipelines.

Pipeline Vandalism, is one of our biggest undoing in the power sector. Prof Barth Nnaji(fmr minister of power) complained bitterly about this. When pipes are vandalised, UNDER WATER WIELDING will be the corrective measure. And this is a very expensive part of wielding.
Imagine how difficult it is to dive in a lagoon or big pool of water just to wield a broken pipeline, u think say na beans Na money o
Okonjo iweala has said what we need is a social contract to agree on certain norms & values. Because no matter how much is invested in power, some unscrupulous pple will go and steal power cables. No matter how much govt invests in the Oil & gas sector, pple will go & vandalism pipeline. WE NEED TO AGREE ON CERTAIN NORMS & VALUES LIKE OKONJO IWEALA HAS ADVISED!!!

Since Nigeria independent in 1960 Nigeria government can't still boast of 24hrs electricity. Its just a shame.

Take a look at the second pics below to see how people plug in their rechargeable lamb and their phones whenever I put on my generator.

My fellow Nigerians are we going to continue living like a this in this country.
Many things have gone wrong in this country and we need to put an end to it.

But why can't ordinary Nigerians use their own initiative when it comes to the production of electricity?

I'm not even close to Nigeria yet I am making sure my masters degree/work experience will be centred around environmental waste conversion to energy. I hope to come back to make excellent use of this knowledge. However it will be difficult if there is no collective effort.

Of what use is your brain if you do not use it?

Dear Nigerian Adults, please wake up and start using your brains...

Please stop this insult, it's because of a Nigerian you are posting in this forum , we use our brains. Are you generating your own electricity and are you refining your own fuel?

There was pipeline vandalism and fuel scarcity during GEJ administration just that the scarcity didn't exclate to this level. Barth Nnaji and Nebo can testify to that
