Don't you think that rule is too harsh? It simply means that the other group members lose on 2 fronts at the least. First, they lose all the points they collected from the team that opted out of the group; and secondly, the group runner up will lose any other opportunity to advance and qualify for the tournament. I think it's too harsh punishing members of a group due to something that is not their fault and CAF should change that rule. |
