Vacancy for the Post for Logistics Supervisor

A leading Logistics and Supply chain firm in Lagos currently seeks the service of a Logistics Supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate should meet the following requirement.

• Not more than 35 years of Age

• At least HND or BSc in a related field

• 3-7years experience in Haulage/ Logistics role

• Strong knowledge of Trucks parts and maintenance

• High computer proficiency especially in Microsoft Word and Excel

• Able to multiple relationships at different levels.

• Strong communication and analytical skills.

• Problem solving and prioritizing skills.

• Management skills.

• Residency around Agege, Ogba and Ikeja environs will be an added advantage.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate shall be responsible for the following

• In charge of the day to day operations of the transport department.

• Efficiently managing a team of drivers and vehicles and organizing vehicle checks.

• Responsible for all of the dispatching, routing, and tracking of delivery vehicles.

• Ensuring company compliance of all transport policies, legislation and procedures.

• Managing, monitoring and developing a team of reliable drivers.

• Being the first point of contact for all drivers.

• Developing and nurturing customer relationships.

• Maintaining accurate operational records and reporting system.

• Identifying operational issues, potential problems and opportunities.

• Appraising staff performance and also taking disciplinary measures when required.

• Responsible for all H&S investigations.
