I don't know if anyone else has noticed that since the announcement of the recruitment exercise into the Nigerian Police Force, the websites of Police Service Commission and Nigeria Police Force website have been inaccessible. My Niece sat in front of her laptop and spent almost the whole of yesterday and even most part of the midnight hours trying to access the two sites without success whereas other websites are functioning normally. Could this be as a result of sudden heavy traffic of users trying to access the sites, in that case the authorities should as a matter of urgency increase the bandwidth of the sites. Or is it a ploy to manipulate or limit the perceived huge number of applicants only for them to come out tomorrow and declare that the exercise was transparent. 2 Likes 1 Share

Chai. Why are many prominent public office holders so insensitive to the plight of the masses. Many unemployed Nigerians have been impatiently awaiting the commencement of this recruitment exercise which is long overdue as the last official recruitment into the NPF was in 2010. Now they can't even access the sites. Even the 10,000 applicants intended to be absorbed by the force will make an infinitesimal impact to the massive populace of the unemployed in the country. Assuming it's a very transparent exercise, 10,000 is about 277applicants per state which is about 13persons per local government area on the average of 20 local governments per state which further means that not every ward in each local government area will have a candidate. What would then happen when NASS members and other politicians hijack the exercise as usual. The poor would only keep wailing and wasting in hopelessness. May God save this country. lalasticlala, mynd44 and others kindly push this to front pageet people know it's an anomally 2 Likes 1 Share |
