The Commandant, Police Staff College, Jos, Mr
Joseph Mbu, has called on the President
Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government to
rehabilitate police colleges ahead of the coming
massive recruitment in the Force.
Mbu, an Assistant Inspector General, told the News
Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday that the
recruitment would be worthless without better
facilities in training schools.
NAN recalls that President Muhammadu Buhari
recently approved the recruitment of 10,000
policemen in the country.
Mbu described the state of police colleges as ``in
utter decay’’, saying hostels, lecture halls and other
necessary facilities in the colleges were in very poor
conditions.
The commandant also decried inadequate teaching
and non-teaching staff in the colleges, which
according to him, remains a major problem.
"Our police colleges, both senior and junior are in
very bad state. Most of the structures you see there
are dilapidated and the issue of poor staffing is
also there.
"Recruitment exercise into various cadres in the
force has begun, but the major lacuna will be where
to train the recruits;
"We need good facilities and atmosphere to make
them better policemen.
"You cannot start exposing recruits by making them
pay money indirectly for one thing or the other when
ideally the government is supposed to provide
everything for them.
"So, I appeal to the president to set up a special
committee to examine our colleges with a view to
putting them in good shape before the training for
the new recruits commences,’’ Mbu appealed.

I stand with Buhari because:
-He inherited about 5,ooo megawatts of power from the previous administration but just 10 months after assuming office, power has dropped drastically and hovers around 2,000 megawatts while darkness has risen sharply in geometric progression up to 10,000 megawatts. Rather than measure power, we now measure darkness in megawatts, no thanks to Buhari, APC and their “change” agenda......LMAO!!!
-No president has ever seen the naira fall so helplessly like it is doing right under Mr President. At N325/$1 and with the possibilities of further slide, our economy is surely growing stronger! Sai Baba!
-Since he came to power, all the elections conducted have been inconclusive. Our president is so ingenious that we shall be having reruns of reruns..... Hahahaha
-Under him, food prices have gone up, jobs have been lost in droves, the judiciary is intimidated and harassed, citizens’ rights are arbitrarily abridged and abused outright, dissenting voices are hounded, innocent and defenceless citizens are mowed down by security agents especially as it was in the case of IPOB members at Aba and Shiite Muslims at Zaria; Fulani herdsmen have become audacious in their wiping off of communities and occupying such without resistance or challenge by security agents.

If Jonathan was re-elected this 1mbecile would be the IG today. That was Patience Jonathan and Nyesom Wike's Mr Fix it, used to do the dirty job on Rotimi Amaechi. And today they want us to believe Wike is the good guy and Amaechi the bad guy. We have not forgotten só soon.

That is how mysterious an average wailer is......They're career sadists and enemy of decency!!!! One moment they say they are Biafrans, the other moment, they say there are British!!! One moment they say FFK hate them. Later, they say FFK is their man. They will say Kachikwu is not theirs but call for Kachikwu's resignation, they will say you hate them. To them, Dasuki is from Aba, Okorocha is from Kano. Their complaint is that they hate Nigeria and want her dissolved. Ask them for solution they will tell you 'Concede Power to us, let's lead Nigeria.' So Science and Technology is not good, Labour Ministry is bad and there's nothing in Foreign Affairs. Yet they didn't complain when Jonathan gave them Labour....yet no wahala. They will wonder why Yorubas are not supporting Saraki but worry less about why they hate Amaechi so much! Hatred is a vehicle that can only take its passenger to a destructive destination! You can't sow hate and reap love! It is a natural law. There's nobody that cannot lead Nigeria, if Jonathan can, if Gowon can, anybody can but no one can do it alone or use a vehicle of hate to get there!

@OP ; Mbu did not BEG rather he Appealed ! Which is the appropraite thing to do as the head of the school. That said shouldnt that be to the IGP or DIG?
