The equation of Nigeria's unity remains heavily unbalanced in the face of glaring ethnic inequalities and inequities. This highly unbalanced equation of nationhood accounts for the re-occurring restiveness among ethnic nationalities. The nation was designed and is still existing on the vested interest of the big three- Yoruba, Hausa and Ibo. Even among the big three, due to the unwritten ancient unholy alliance between the Yoruba and Hausa, the Ibo has since decried their disadvantages and their loud cry persist up to this very day. If the big Ibo can suffer in a lopsided nationhood, you can better imagine the plight of the smaller minorities! The nation has been built and the fullness thereof for the comfort and convenience of the big brothers at the expenses of the smaller ones. The minority is practically a second class citizen in a supposed fatherland. He is oppressed and yet repressed from uttering a protest. Their plight is further complicated by the epic betrayal and sell-out of their very own self seeking ethnic leaders. Can this definition of nationhood pass the severe test of time and posterity? The unwritten code of conspiracy by the majorities is ever alive to make a mess of the best performance of a minority just as they display shameless solidarity for even the worst performance of a their fellow majority. Whither Nigeria? Untill and unless there is justice and genuine equity with no more discrimination among citizens of this nation, there remains a natural proclivity for another civil war.

Then I have the big poser:
What is actually special that we are ready to erase a whole ethnic group(s) than to let Nigeria split as other nations?

And why will our leader support or recognized the sovereignty of other nations that splits but will not allow Nigeria to split?

To answer your question, the only special thing in this case is the grand agenda to ensure that the minorities are certified totally milked of whatever real or imagined fortune they possess before accepting dissolution of the unholy matrimony. Like people say, the only limit to the oppression of the oppressor is the endurance of the oppressed!

Well written.
Nigeria system is lopsided and it is set up to the taste of the Northern cabals who dictate the political sphere of this country since 1960.
I think that the movement for Federalism should heat up. Let it be like a revolution.
The problem is that will the North accept federalism? Hmmm
