My Religion

I have noticed whenever I use the word ''MY'' in any word it automatically brings out the bias and sentiment in me: for instance, My Car, My wife, My friend, My country, My Religion

Naturally, my pride wont allow me admit that my choice of friends, wife or religion is questionable but rather, I can easily see the flaws in yours and criticize yours. For in as much I have taken side in any issue, whether it be it political or religious, I will give my all to defend it. It really doesn't matter whether its right or wrong. As long the word ''MY'' is attached my pride and vanity is already involve.

What is holding me and my religion today is not the Religion itself. Atleast I have come to see the cruity it brings on our daily life as individual, and as a Nation: I see greed, fraud, manipulations, terrorism, suffering, Hatred, abject poverty, Mind-control, crises and inhumanity.

Calmly, I have come to see My Religion for what it truely his:

1. They first made me accept, believed or become member; Thereby taking side.

2. They programme my head with imported dogma of some fellow of far back century. Until it become subconscious on my mind!

3. I go about defending it regardless of the current reality. Don't worry, your sins will be forgiven and paradise is yours they assured me .

It toke a lot of maturity for me to truely examine my religion today. I started by taking away the ''MY'' and look at word ''Religion'' as it is, I wonder what will be the fate of my country Nigeria; without security forces or Government for just one week? Holy War!

Today, As I defend my religion. I also have it in mind that other religious group have also been thought to believe theirs is the only true religion just like my. And if this somehow lead to argument, crises or arm struggle as the case maybe, just know that i'm only defending my pride, the ''MY'' and not the ''RELIGION''.

Imagine how peaceful the world would have been without -My Religion

This is not entirely true. For the human individual, beliefs and convictions are temporal by nature, there is an element of time within them. Most people stopped believing in God a long time ago. Example, ALL PASTORS. Point to any pastor, and there is a 99.999% chance that he or she is an atheist. It is the day-to-day actions that betray the real thought process.

Your statement itself bring you closer to the real happening. According to your Bible, when yahweh called israel is his first son, how did he treat others?

Were they more righteous than others?
