the dedicated graphics card has memory DEDICATED to graphics processing and doesn't need to consume your system RAM.

Unlike the dedicated, the integrated gpu doesn't use its own RAM for for graphics processing. It uses system memory instead.

If you do light stuff on your pc, you might not feel the difference. However, if you are doing serious graphic intensive work like graphics design (blender 3d users can testify) or playing heavy games, you'd find that dedicated graphics card makes for a far better user experience.
