I have read through most of the comments in this Panama saga and came to find out that most people do not understand the concept of shell corporations even among the "pop and mom" folks who claim to be business people.

Blame the corporate laws that provide the loopholes for giving tax incentives to shell corporations. Is there any serious international business person who is not "exposed"
to shell corporations? If you don't, you have just defined yourself.

Btw, shell as used here is not Shell (the oil company) before some of you will start arguing over something you have no clue about. Shell companies are not secretitive neither are they anonymous. Some countries until recently do not open their books to foreign auditors or financial investigations. Eg Switzerland, Cyprus, Panama, etc. Therein lies the problem.

Remember...Panama is only one among many.

The IJIC (International Consortium of Investigative Journalist) website is there with details of the Panama papers and the company Mossack Fonseca for the world to see. The only Nigerian name on the website is James Ibori. There is nothing secret about it actually if you want to follow the investigation all you need to do is register and you are given access. How come it is only when it concerns Nigeria it becomes a top secret . Messi, Ian Cameron, the Iceland President and the Fifa officials names can all be found on the website, the only hidden names are the Nigerians. If I say I am not suspicious I lie.
