Boko Haram destruction in North-east estimated at N1.8tn

After the typical daft African revolution in which typically women, children and property are destroyed, comes the costs. In this case over 1.8 trillion Niara's worth. The money that could have been spent on improving upon what was there before to a higher level is then used to rebuild the infrastructure back to the original level and pay the Western companies who do the major rebuilding and assessments . This rebuilding typically takes decades. So, instead of the place gaining ten to twenty years of progress it returns to the stage were it was. Even before the place reaches this level of old development people start grumbling how in over so many decades nothing has changed. Again, people start thinking of revolting and the cycle of underdevelopment in relation to the period continues.

We're not even considering the extra cost in bitterness and enmity, which typically obstructs the redevelopment.
